Privacy Policy

Restoria ("we", "us") is a photo restoration app operated by Zac Frulloni. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the Restoria iOS app or this website.

Your photos

• Processing only. Photos and videos you submit are sent securely to our servers and to our AI processing providers solely to produce your requested result (restoration, colorization, animation or combination).
• No storage. We do not keep your photos. They are processed and then deleted from our systems. Generated results are delivered back to your device, where they are stored only in your photo library and inside the app.
• No AI training. Your photos are never used to train AI models, ours or anyone else's.
• Metadata. Location and other embedded photo metadata is not used and is stripped during processing.
• No face data. Restoria does not perform facial recognition and does not collect, store, analyse or share face data or biometric information of any kind (such as faceprints or facial geometry). Your photos, which may incidentally contain faces, are processed as ordinary images purely to produce the edit you requested, then deleted.

Information we do collect

• Anonymous device identifier — a random ID created on first launch, used to operate your subscription and enforce fair-use limits. It is not linked to your name, email or Apple ID by us.
• Subscription status — purchase and subscription state is processed by Apple and our subscription provider, RevenueCat, so the app knows what you have access to. We never see your payment details; Apple handles all payment.
• Basic usage counts — how many generations your account has run, to enforce plan limits.
• Anonymous usage analytics — which screens are viewed and which features are used, tied to the anonymous device identifier above, so we can understand what works and improve the app. Your photos are never part of analytics data.
• Support messages — if you use the in-app contact form, we receive the message you write and the reply email address you optionally provide, used only to respond to you.

Third parties we rely on

• Apple — payment and subscription management.
• RevenueCat — subscription status management.
• AI processing providers — your submitted photos are processed by one or more of OpenRouter (routing to Google Gemini image models), fal.ai (photo enhancement and photo animation), and DeepInfra (photo restoration models), depending on the tool you use. Each receives your photo transiently, solely to produce your requested result, subject to their API data-use commitments; none use your photos to train AI models. These providers process photos only on our instructions and are contractually bound by their API terms to data protection equal to or stronger than described in this policy; the app also asks for your explicit permission in-app before your first photo is sent for processing.
• Mixpanel — anonymous usage analytics (EU-hosted), as described above. Never receives your photos.
• Resend — delivers your in-app support messages to us by email.
• Supabase and Vercel — our database and server infrastructure (EU region database).

Your rights

Because we do not store your photos or link your identity to your data, most privacy requests are already satisfied by design. You can request deletion of your anonymous usage record by contacting us. If you are in the UK/EEA, you have rights under UK GDPR/GDPR including access, rectification and erasure; contact us to exercise them.

Children

Restoria is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above.
